МОРФОЛОГИЧЕСКИЕ И БИОХИМИЧЕСКИЕ ОСОБЕННОСТИ ОРГАНОПРОФИЛЕЙ ЛЕСНЫХ ПОЧВ КАРЕЛИИ

The studies carried out showed that the morphological structure and composition of forest litters and the organic matter content in the soil closely correlate with each other. The results on the organic matter content in the soils are tightly related to the productivity of forest stands. The combination of morphological-ecological and biochemical approaches for study of soil organic matter provides the full description of the structure and qualitative characteristics of the soil organic profile. The results of this combined approach may be used for the diagnostics and classification of organic profiles and the soil as a whole and for the assessment of productivity of forest lands.
