In Pinus sibirica forests of the Sikhote-Alin Range, anisotropy of soils along the redius of a tessera is recorded. Under cedar crowns, pH and the contents of humus and exchangeable cations in soils increase, as well as the ash content in litters. Near stems, soils are distinctly acidified.
