The long-term dynamics of Quercus petraea (mattuschka) liebl.) and Q. hartwissianastev.) radial increment in different forest types of the Northern Caucasus is considered related to climatic factors and solar activity. Dendrochronological annals for the both species of the given region were compiled. Favorable and unfavorable years for the growth of these species in all forest types are described. The relationships between the oak tree increment and cyclic reference of solar activity are revealed.
