Theoretical aspects for regioning of forest areas are considered by the example of the Urals. The system suggested reflects interrelationships between a number of many natural and economic factors, which are significant for any system of forest regioning. It is the basis for the elaboration of prospective systems for forest management in different regions of our country. The suggested principles for the construction of regional schemes of forested territories should be used by administrative, scientific, and desingn organizations.
