The survival and height were determined in Pinus contorta Dougl. and P. sylvestris L. in the test cultures arranged in 2004 in the Republic of Komi. The results obtained showed that the survival of shore and Scots pines was almost the same, but the height growth in shore pine trees is quicker than in Scots pine ones.
