Mass infestation of oak forests by gall wasps Neuroterus numismalis Fourc. and N. albipes Schenck. Took place in Tellerman woodland area in 2012. It was triggered by unusual weather. Its consequences were observed in decreased radial increment of oaks growing in floodplain oak forests the next year. We did not found any similar features in upland oak forests. Maximal infestation of gall wasps increased the dieback. We found that Neuroterus numismalis Fourc. opted for the late leafing trees, while N. albipes Schenck. preferred the early leafing ones. We suppose that the mass infestation of gall wasps in oak forests of Tellerman woodland area took place for the first time.

Keywords: gall wasps, galls, oak forests, radial increment.
