In the southern taiga, the growth of spruce during twenty years after cutting of the upper layer of birch with the preservation of spruce regrowth was studied. Regularities of the combined dynamics of current increment in stem height, cross-section area and volume were revealed. Statistic models for the determination of the main parameters in spruce trees for the given growth periods (before 20 years) were developed. The effect of taking the birch layer from the stand on the growth of stands and the formation of spruce population are considered.
