Based on 123 model pine trees and using regression analysis, an equation for the generatrix of tree stem without bark was developed. This equation allows forecasting of a relative stem diameter to ±0.06 cm at the 5% significance level. The initial data of the equation mentioned were: diameter at height breast (d. a. b.) of stern with bark; d. b. a. of stem without bark; tree height; distance from ground surface to crown; species number; age; distance from ground surface to current stem diameter, and a relative height (the product of the distance from ground surface to current stem diameter divided by tree height). For the determination of d. b. a. of stems without bark, an equation using the parameters mentioned, was proposed. The model suggested is an addition to the mathematical model for stem volumes (earlier published). It allows obtaining a plan for cross-cut of stem for each thickness step. The equation proposed is agreed well with data of the Krudener and Kishchenko tables and worse, with those of Tovstoles tables. The model needs a more precise definition for stem diameters of more than 60 cm.
